What is ‘Neighbour Day’?

Neighbour Day is Australia’s annual celebration of community, bringing together the people next door, across the street, or on the next farm for a beer, a barbie or just a cuppa. It is a perfect day to say thanks for being a great neighbour and for being there when needed the most.  A good relationship with others can and does change communities, brings social connection, resources and organisations to grow stronger and be well connected communities.  For Cab10 NHW committee and other volunteers, Neighbour Day is every day.  Come and join us today!

What is ‘Neighbourhood Watch’?

Neighbourhood Watch is both a philosophy and an approach to working together as a community to reduce crime and enhance community safety.  Neighbourhood Watch has been operating in Qld since 1998. Neighbourhood Watch Qld (NHWQ) encourages communities to join together in small informal groups for the purpose of improving the safety of their families and others who live, visit and do business in their neighbourhood. It also encourages interaction and a shared sense of responsibility between all partners.
